First Day of The Griswalt Adventure

Rob getting no help from cripple in changing a flat... but let's backup a few hours.

Last night, Dave is packed and ready to go. The skateboard calls and as he exits the driveway is eaten alive by the curb and breaks his wrist. No problem the trip is a go!

Rob is on the couch all day. Feels 100 years old. No problem, the trip is ON!

Day 1:

SAC Int'l Airport Flight NW1675 arrives and the plane is empty with no Dave. How could this be??? A search finds him on Delta 1187 an hour later - NO PROBLEM.

109 degrees in Redding - NO PROBLEM

Flat tire on the trailer in Redding (did I mention it was 109 degrees?)- NO PROBLEM

Chocolate chip cookies melt in the heat - BIG PROBLEM!

Big Foot Campground on the Trinity River - NICE!!!

Tomorrow we're headed for the coast and the redwood forest.
